This month has been a particularly exciting time for us with National DNA Day taking place on the 25th of April.
We launched our DNA Day campaign on the 13th April with 20% off our 3-in-1 ancestry kits. Alongside the promotion, we also wanted to get involved as a team and show you all what DNA Day means to different individuals within the company.
Here is a quick overview of what we have been up to!
Quality Control Manager Michelle shared her fun DNA banana fact
Principal Scientist Dr Martin Blythe spoke about the some of the latest research projects within DNA and also some fun DNA facts
Camilo, our Population Geneticist spoke about his DNA Journey and the importance of diversity
Our Accountant Tanya! Originally from Bulgaria, Tanya moved here 6 years ago. Her Great Grandpa and husband are from the Ukraine
Head of Forensic Toxicology Salah shared some of his own results about where his DNA lies and key explanations behind types of DNA such as 'what is Cancer'
Senior Product Manager and Genealogist Katie shared her own family findings through endless research she did to find out about her ancestors
Sample Accessioning Executive Emily is currently exploring her family history with her Dad and Grandma who may have connections to Pirate Captain Morgan
TJ from our Client Support Team who joined a few months back was more than happy to have a few pictures with our DNA Day sign!
Co Founder David shared with us the types of DNA that exist and the DNA that is passed down (with the help of daughter Claire of course)
Co founder Hannah demonstrated her take on DNA through the power of peanut m&m's! By separating them out into different colours, she explained how different groups of people come together and how we are all connected
We've had so much fun delving into this campaign and involving as many of our team as possible and we hope you have all enjoyed hearing about our DNA stories too!
