This weekend, we had such a wonderful time enjoying the sun at our DNA Summer Fete. From a nail-biting egg and spoon race, to brand new records in the welly-wanging; the competitiveness between team members and their family was at an all time high.
From customer service to co-founder, they lined up to take part in the DNA Championships! Starting with the egg and spoon race.
The contestants brace themselves at the start line of the egg and spoon race.
Fresh off the egg & spoon race came the wellie wanging. A competition that made wellies fly all the way into the goat pasture!
You’re sacked! Surprisingly athletic contestants stunned the crowds with a thrilling sack race.
The last event of the day was the thrilling sack race. Our principal scientist Martyn kicked off the event with a bang.
What would you call this teddy bear? And no we don’t mean Jon!
We had name the bear competition with a science theme. Ada, Gamma, or Edison? We also had a guess the number of sweets competition, which despite the number of staff children in attendance was won by our principal scientist Martin.
Sometimes the best way to relax is to go back to the basics. The summer fete was a good break from haplogroups and ancestral breakdowns.
